YouTube introducing handles to make easier for users to find and search for creators. It will be appear at your YouTube page and shorts videos as well. YouTube handles is actually a very big step to move further to go with flow, it could may be a next revolution for YouTube. This things will became it easier for Creators and Users to mention each other during Collab’s, commenting, and video descriptions and other locations as well. With handles anyone can find easily your creator and video as well, with handles user can search particular creator video and shorts within a sec.

This feature will be rolling out over the next few weeks where all channels will get a feature to choose unique handles, dont worry! if you have custom name it will become your handle. as youtube said in official blog:
if a channel already has a personalized URL, that will automatically become their default handle, or they can opt to change the handle for their channel as soon as the notification in YouTube Studio comes through. (ref: YouTube blog)
Once Creator choose their unique handle, it will become your personalized URL (youtbe.com/@creator) so that user can easily identify their personal creator and share it to other platform with ease experience.
There is no need to update links if the channel already has a personalized URL, it will automatically adopt the name as per your custom channel name. You’ll get a notification in YouTube Studio once you can choose a handle.
